Since setting up his shop in Savile Row in 1992, award-winning designer Richard James has become a leading figure in contemporary tailoring, with his bold, progressive take on a timeless craft. He specialises in a clean, slim silhouette, and is no stranger to colour and unusual materials. His work has been featured on the covers of magazines, in design exhibitions, and on display at the V&A.
We interviewed him for John Lewis as he tells his story on how it all started and the collection he designed for them. The film appeared on the John Lewis website.
